The intentions of The MCA DreamTeam were to create a place where sales associates/referral agents can go to be trained on how to use the resources that are available to them in a way that would optimize their results when promoting our products. I built it with the vision of assisting only my associates but while learning so much and overcoming many obstacles while building The MCA DreamTeam I realized I’ve learned things EVERY marketer will eventually need to know, and that’s when my epiphany hit.
I decided to create a guideline of the best resources to use as a beginning business owner or marketer. This set me apart from the many others who have tried to be successful taking the MCA route because I expanded my vision from not only being a sales associate but also a marketing consultant that is valuable to people who have already established a business. That was the key I needed to gain trust, build relationships and expand. I’ve wasted many many MANY hours reading worthless information while researching countless blogs, websites, and ebooks so I made it a priority to give my business associates and readers a shortcut to the best and most essential information I’ve collected online while designing my own business. One of the key features I’ve learned, needed in building an online business or any business of that matter, is called branding and I was branding The MCA DreamTeam before I even knew it.
According to Wikipedia a brand is defined as: “the name, term, design, symbol or any other feature that identifies one seller’s product distinct from those of other sellers.”
Branding is what makes a business familiar to the people it comes in contact with, it’s what your business is focused on, the who, what, where, when and why of your business. It’s your products description, your companies promise, your business’s vision and what you aim to achieve. Marketing and promoting your business is actually a part of the strategy and method of boosting your brand. Branding is basically the foundation of your business, the next layer is creating it’s identity. The identity of your brand is the look and feel of your business.
or unique font:
is a crucial integration needed to brand your business.
From Nike’s slogan “Just Do It” to the infamous jingle “Like a good neighbor State Farm is there” You will need something that will leave an unforgettable impression on your audience. Time is more valuable than money so if your going to invest either into your business than you might as well run the whole nine yards. When I joined MCA I decided to go all out to highlight The MCA DreamTeam as a unique affiliation essential to all associate members. I did not just settle being an affiliate sales agent with MCA, I used it as an opportunity to create an entire affiliate brand. Which is why I knew I needed a logo for The MCA DreamTeam…FAST. Not only to show people I was serious about this business but to also lead by example and present the steps I took and is needed to start your own online business/brand from scratch. Its easy to point the finger and tell your recruits where they need to be but what they won’t do is show you how to get to there. The MCA DreamTeam aims to change all that.
I’ve focused this blog post on a small (but crucial) stepping stone of branding, which is to create a logo for your business. What I discovered researching this subject was something I never even considered when I first realized I needed a logo. I learned colors are a very important aspect of branding and are never a coincidence or chosen at random.
As you can see from Hooters to Barbie, colors in corporate logos mean more than what first meets the eye. Color is influencing and can evoke a lot of emotion from your audience if you use them correctly. I didn’t realize so many corporation’s logos, products and web designs were created surrounding this psychology. I used that as a blueprint to design my own logo and after many horrible draft designs, color combinations and disproportioned text sizes I finally had a perfect draft ready to get created. I am proud to present The MCA DreamTeam as an official affiliate brand with an amazing new logo in honor of the launch of our website and blog!
I designed The MCA DreamTeam’s logo with specific colors so at first glance my audience can already feel what we stand for. Yellow is the main color of my logo, it represents detail, awareness, happiness and optimism. My logo’s laurel wreath leaves are pointed outright symbolizing perseverance, growth and success. The top of the logo’s leaves are red representing enthusiasm, determination and passion; faded into purple that represents royalty, imagination and wisdom; and at the bottom, blue is what my logo stands on. Like the calming sky, blue represents purity, honesty and potential. It also represents dependability, trust, security and worthiness. All of these colors and meanings showcase the qualities The MCA DreamTeam prides itself in and why it’s so unique to the marketing industry. So when you start branding your business remember Wikipedia’s definition and ask yourself these questions:
What will be the differences I create in my business that will make it stand out from the rest?
What feeling am I trying to give my audience? Relief? Enthusiasm? Creativity?
What colors should I design my business with that will exhibit our best qualities and ignite those feelings?
